Pork and Apple Cheeseburgers

* 500g pork mince * 1 medium onion, peeled and finely chopped * 2 eating apples, cored and grated and tossed in 1tbsp lemon juice * 1 medium egg, beaten * 50g fresh breadcrumbs * 50g cheese, such as Maasdam, Edam or Gruyère, sliced * Burger buns, salad leaves, sliced tomatoes,hamburger and sweetcorn relishes or tomato chutney, to serve
Method 1 Use your hands to combine the mince, onion, apples, egg and breadcrumbs in a large bowl. Season well with salt and freshly ground black pepper, then shape into four patties.
2 Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, turning once. Put the cheese on top of the burgers and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until cheese has melted.
3 Serve with buns, salad, tomatoes and relishes
